 General Terms and Conditions

    • All listed fees are given as a standard guideline. The final cost depends on the complexity and difficulty of the music, expected deadline, the state of the initial material you provide, the instrumentation you require, style of music, and any special requirements you need.
    • For larger commissions, a fixed percent reduction in fees is negotiated.
    • You may pay for our services by credit card through PayPal or bank wire transfer. All prices are exclusive of any extra fees; e.g. tax, PayPal or bank wire transfer.
    • The final cost is agreed upon before we start working on your project. A deposit of 50% is required before work is began. The remaining payment will be paid when work is finished and before it is delivered to you.
    • Credits for roles such as “Arranger, "Orchestrator", "Composer", Producer” will be clearly visible in concert programs, CD inlay, film, video, documentary and other moving image media.
    • The Intellectual Property of all creative commissions (composing, arranging and orchestrating) remain with the composer, arranger and orchestrator of ScoreMasters®.
    • If you require an arrangement, orchestration or transcription of a published song or musical work, you are responsible for addressing any copyright issues with the copyright holder or the producer of the venue in case of a performance.

 Orchestration and Arrangement Fees:

Formula for a full orchestration or arrangement:
number of minutes X number of instruments X 9.5 Euros
Formula for re-orchestration:
number of minutes X number of instruments X 8.5 Euros
Formula for orchestral reduction or expansion:
number of minutes X number of instruments X 7 Euros

Please note:

    • The fees include the orchestration (or arrangement) and a rough demo.
    • In a symphony orchestra or concert band, 2 or 3 identical woodwind or brass instruments (e.g. trumpet) are considered 2 or 3 different instruments, even if notated on the same staff. However, the first violins or violas section in an orchestra are considered one instrument each.
    • A full orchestration or arrangement refers to a totally new orchestration or arrangement. Re-orchestration refers to the process of creating a new orchestration of an already orchestrated musical piece (e.g. an initial orchestration for MIDI instruments). Orchestral reduction or expansion refers to the adaptation of an original orchestration for a large orchestra to a smaller one and vice versa.

Please note:  The above fee does not include the fees for orchestration (or arranging), score, and parts. These should be added according to the duration and instrumentation of the commissioned piece.

Please note:  The above pricing is indicative only. The final cost will depend on the complexity of the song's arrangement, and what you require to be transcribed from the recording; e.g. how many instruments.

Please note:

    • Orchestral instruments include all the standard instruments of the symphony orchestra (e.g. flute, contrabassoon, timpani, etc.). Please contact us if you require a virtuoso instrumentalist to record a complex classical work (e.g. piano concerto).
    • Rhythm section instruments include acoustic or electric piano, synth,  drums, electric guitar, electric bass, double bass, and percussion.
    • The recording rate of a solo instrument or voice includes the fee of the musician, studio and recording engineer. A fee reduction is negotiated for multiple recordings such as in a record production or multitrack demo.
    • The orchestra recording fee is per song of no more than 5 minutes, and do not include mixing your song or composition.
    • The mixing fee is per song or musical piece of no more than 5 minutes of duration, and 12 mono tracks. Extra minutes or tracks will be charged accordingly.
    • The mastering fee is per song. The duration of each song should not exceed 10 minutes.
    • A fee reduction is negotiated for mixing and mastering multiples songs or a full CD.

Please note:

    • Classical scoring: refers to musical pieces that are tonal or atonal in standard notation, e.g. Beethoven, Stravinsky, Schoenberg, etc.
    • 20th Century Classical scoring: refers to musical pieces that are in non-standard notation, e.g. Penderecki, Xenakis, etc.
    • Film scoring: refers to soundtrack music written for film which include required timecodes for the conductor.
    • Contemporary scoring: refers to musical pieces in any popular style, e.g. Jazz, Rock, Pop, etc.
    • Each of the categories below are divided in subcategories according to the number of instruments per score. Parts are charged separately from scores.
    • The pricing of music copying-engraving is per re-typed page for both score and parts, and it involves retyping from hand manuscripts or some sort of printouts without any modifications. Please contact us if you have any special requirements.
    • A discount is applicable for large commissions.

  Dance & Choreography:

Formula:
Choreography is charged per minute of music. Teaching and rehearsing the choreography to a dance troupe is charged by the hour. In both cases, the fee depends on the complexity of the desired choreography.

 Online Private Music Lessons:

    • A minimum of four sessions should be booked.
